has an excellent opportunity for a dynamic IT-Manager based in Cape Verde (Praie).
The IT-Manager is an experienced profile combining technical and managerial skills. He is in charge of the entire information system. Its objective is to align IT with the business objectives of GMT.
MISSION
You will supervise the IT Department to ensure the quality and delivery of IT systems concerning our activities. These efforts will be fulfilled timely, within budget, and in accordance with IT operating standards. Specifically, the IT Manager will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
1. Ensure consistently strong operational support for all internal systems and users, minimizing any system outages
2. Develop and monitor performance levels of hardware and software, evaluate, recommend and propose alternative methods of information processing.
3. Develop and maintain information architecture (data, applications, networks) ensuring the online system.
4. Identify current and future system needs and provide solutions for the identified needs
5. Monitor backup jobs and ensure the high success rate.
6. Ensure constant technology watch
7. Understand, fully, the legal requirements on IT governance and security
8. Integrate the new technological advances in information system to optimize performance
9. Build strong internal working relationships with all Departments
